Common Questions

I lost a session — can I recover it?
Smolder stores everything locally on your device. If you uninstalled the app, force-quit while a timer was running, or wiped your device, the data is gone. There is no cloud backup in this version.

How does the streak work?
Each day you complete a session whose total duration meets the threshold (default 30 minutes), your streak increases by one. If you skip a day, the streak resets to zero. You can change the threshold in Settings.

Sharing to Instagram opens the share sheet — is that normal?
Yes. Smolder uses the iOS share sheet to send the result card image; from there you can pick Instagram → Stories, or save to Photos, or share anywhere else.

Can I use my own photo as the background?
Yes. Tap "Change Photo" on the result card and pick "From gallery..." Smolder copies the image into its own private storage so the card stays consistent even if you delete the original photo.

Why is everything in dark mode?
Dark mode is intentional in this version. A light theme may come later.
